Salkantay Trek. Part One.
Four days of walking in Peru from Sayllapata to Hidro Electrica. Then we hopped a train to Aguas Calientes aka Machu Picchu Pueblo. We climbed very steep trails to high altitudes, and spent hours coming down even steeper trails. It was hell on the knees, and the lungs. On the final day we caught 5:30am busses to the Inca ruins of Machu Picchu. It was a fantastic experience that I'm not rushing to do again.

WOW - these pics are dope. Breathtaking.
Thanks, Benny.
The first day was literally breathtaking, I could barely breathe.
Did you evernotice Mike, that the mountains of one range are entirely different from another? The Andes seem to have sharper edges and the sky seems to be more black than the sky in the Southern Alps for example. Teriffic UFO! the stream of milky water must have taken a few shots to get right?
these are stunning, mike...
what an experience...
Billieboy!
Yeah, I think it has something to do with the age of the range. The younger they are, the sharper they are. At least this is what I overheard during the trek. I was truly impressed at the beauty of the Andes, which I had never seen so closely before. Yeah, I was wondering if anyone would notice the UFO. I bet big brother is now monitoring this site.
Just so everyone knows. I did not "photoshop" these, or any of my images beyond contrast, lightening, darkening....No funny business here.
