The Nicest Bus We Have Ever Seen.
We took a 15 hour Ittsa Bus-Cama (bed bus) from Piura, Peru to Lima, Peru. It was nuts. The seats were leather, they served dinner and breakfast, and the seats actually turned into a bed. Not the kind of bed one has at home, but I slept pretty good. It was also the most expensive bus we have taken on this trip at $30.00 US, but it was 1st class. I think we are now past the 250 hours on the bus mark.

Hot Damn! I wonder what movies are played on a fine Peruvian luxury bus such as this...
Well Ryan, we were treated to a delightful little movie staring Steven Segal and Ja Rule, dubbed into Spanish, followed by the story of the tragic yet uplifting life of Saint Teresa, and her Little Way. English with Spanish subtitles.
It would have been much better if the two guys sitting by us had not refused to move so that we could be seated together. Apparently it is very, very bad to sit by the window.
Ryan,
There is a hierarchy of movies that are shown depending on how much you pay.
Economy class:
Patrick Swayze post 1995, Jean Claude van Dam. Mexican dramas pre 1975.
Deluxe Class: Non Japanese Jackie Chan flics like Around the World in 80 days, and American low budget explosion military invasion films.
Imperial Class/Bus Cama: Steven Segal w/ Ja Rule, Nic Cage. Shit about knights and the crusades...
we are now in a bus station waiting for our 1:30 bus to Nazca, another 8 hours on the bus. Ill let you know what they show us.
Okay, so they showed us Rambo 4, some shit I have no idea what it was, all I know is there was an explosion every 2 minutes, and a Wesley Snipes flick called 7 seconds, horrible.
They love the war/killing/macho/fighting flicks down here on the busses.
This 8 hour bus ride felt like one of the longest in a long time for both of us. We are doing a 14 hour ride tonight to Cuzco on a bus cama!
