Little Corn Island, Nicaragua. Simply Amazing.

Best part of the entire trip so far. La Isleta was just incredible.

A Commercial Fish Boat To Big Corn Island

We got lucky and hooked up with a fish boat captain who agreed to let us hitch a ride out to Big Corn Island from Laguna de Perlas. This was really great for a few reasons. 1. We did not have to go back to Bluefields, which is a hell hole. 2. We did not have to take the passenger ferry which is full of spawns of hell and takes a hell of a long time. 3. We did not have to wait out another 3 days in Laguna de Perlas for the hellish once a week Bluefields ferry.

Doomed Tortuga...

Just before discovering this helpless and waiting to die upside down turtle, I observed a local hacking away with a machete upon another turtle. Yes, they eat turtle around these parts. Laguna de Perlas, Nicaragua.

Out there.

We are currently on the Corn Islands, Nicaragua about 70kms off the coast in the Caribbean Sea. I may be out of touch for awhile since internet is not widely available in these parts of Nicaragua. So be patient while we get a tan and drink rum out of coconuts.

Word.

Rama City, Nicaragua.

Missionary Thom Walker in Rama City, Nicaragua. A very nice man doing a lot of good work in a very far away part of the world. He bought us dinner too.
