Vans Warped Tour.

Founded in 1994 by Kevin Lyman, the Warped Tour became the Vans Warped Tour in 1995, when skateboarding manufacturer Vans became a main sponsor. It now features over 100 bands, both well known and up and coming, on over ten different stages. The profusion of booths from independent record labels, tour sponsors interested in reaching a younger market, and various non-profit organizations give the venue a flea market feel. Since 1998 the tour has been international, traveling to Australia, Japan, and Europe as well as the United States. With sales of over 500,000 tickets a year, the Vans Warped Tour is more successful than similar tours like the Ozzfest and the H.O.R.D.E festival.
